Orchestre de chambre de Paris
The Orchestre de chambre de Paris commissioned an orchestral work to Jamie Man (UK), to be performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet and conducted by the composer herself. The aim of the project is to give children the occasion to discover contemporary music.
« The piece will be based on recordings of Kauai Moho, a bird species, that got extinct in the 1980’s. Scientists had probably captured the last specimen, that was desperately looking for his fellows and not understanding why nobody answered to its calls. More a scream, than a singing…” Jamie Man, composer
