Soundfestival
The 2021 soundfestival will feature the double bass as its fifth ‘endangered’ instrument with Florentin Ginot as bassist-in-residence. Events will include a solo concert (Georges Aperghis’ Obstinate, Rebecca Saunders’ Fury, Frédéric Pattar’s Météore) and a co-creation with Juliet Fraser of Pascale Criton’s double-bass and soprano commission from soundfestival, a composers’ masterclass with Pascale Criton and a community day for double-bass players. Pascale will be creating the work with Florentin and Juliet.
