The project seeked to develop a long-term relationship between the Scottish ensemble Red Note and the Paris Conservatoire through workshops in Paris and concerts in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Paris. The Machine as Metaphor enabled five musicians from CNSM to play with performers from Red Note Ensemble.
