Musica Lugdunum
The project involves two newly commissioned works by the French composer Sophie Lacaze and the British composer Christian Mason, as well as existing contemporary works by Nicola LeFanu (UK) and Jane O’Leary (IR), and works from the XXth century that create bridges between France, UK and Ireland. These works will be performed by the Irish soprano Helen Kearns and the French pianist François Dumont across the three countries.
“We are delighted to collaborate with François Dumont and Helen Kearns, and to create new artistic relations through old and new pieces. We value the support of Diaphonique, because our music will be performed in several towns and cities where it has never been played before.”
