The Arditti Quartet has a world-wide reputation for its spirited and technically refined interpretations of contemporary and early 20th century music. With a programme which includes two commissions to a French composer, Betsy Jolas, and a British composer, Christian Mason, as well as a French premiere of a string quartet from Clara Maïda, the Arditti Quartet will perform in France and in the UK and will also give a master class in Paris, in partnership with the French association ProQuartet. These concerts will contribute to make the audience discover the work of these composers outside their home countries and thus to enlarge the French-British repertoire of chamber music.
